Do I need to know music theory / play an instrument?
While this tends to be helpful, it is in no way required to start learning a new skill. If you need it for the genre and techniques you want to work with, we will integrate it into the course.
What do I need to start a course?
Let's put it this way: tell me what you have and we go from there. Minimum is of course a computer with Ableton Live installed. An audio interface and a pair of decent speakers or headphones will soon follow, since they are crucial. Next thing to invest in is a suitable midi controller.
What if I am not in the right course?
In the get-to-know session, we do our best to find the matching course-package for you. We keep it flexible, though. If necessary, we can restructure the content of your course or you can switch to another package. Terms and duration are discussed on the individual case.
Why is there a lower rate when extending a package?
Progress in music production and artist development happens over time. If we continue working together after a package ends, we already have a shared workflow and clear goals. The loyalty rate reflects this continuity and rewards commitment, without reducing the quality or scope of the coaching.
Is the loyalty rate automatic?
Only for the one-month starter package. For the other offers, extensions are usually discussed at the end of a package term in a progress review, where we look at your development and define the next steps together.
A word on MIDI controllers
I strongly advise not to buy a controller without knowing, what exactly it can do and which workflow it is good for. Experience shows that just having a controller without having an image in mind what to use it for, usually leads to a thick layer of dust on the device.
